Beetleball Tier List Hub
Community first-picks and ranked shapes. Not an official Bugfight Studio ranking.
Beetleball Early Access launched on Steam on 3 Sep 2026. This hub is a community reading of the live roster, not a patch-note power ranking from Bugfight Studio. The Beetles Hub already says the quiet part: beetles are balanced, so play what you enjoy. Use these pages when you need a first main, a ranked 3v3 fill, or a 2v2 pairing that actually uses kits on this wiki.
Matches are always blue versus red. You only score with a golden dungball at five dung levels. Q is on-ball if you hold the ball and off-ball if you do not. A tier note that ignores those three facts is just a popularity contest.
What this list is not
It is not official. It is not a promise that Click beats Dung. It is not a reason to dodge Longhorn, Atlas, Potato, or Bee. Those four are live. There is no upcoming-class disclaimer on this page. Community character-select videos group attackers as Dung, Ladybug, Tiger, Click (Longhorn flex), defenders as Goliath, Earth-boring, Rhino, Weevil (Atlas extra), and supports as Bombardier, Firefly, Cyborg, Fungus (Potato utility, Bee launch). Ranked 3v3 wants one of each role.
If a lobby already has two attackers, your “S-tier main” is the wrong button. Fill defender or support. The strongest beetle is the one whose Q kit is missing.
Beginner-friendly versus higher skill
Beginner-friendly: Click, Ladybug, Firefly, Rhino, Fungus, and Goliath-as-goalie. Those kits rhyme with themselves. Click’s Sonic Ball and Sonic Boom are both shockwaves. Ladybug’s Flying Dung and Flight are both meters. Firefly explodes on both sides of Q. Rhino walls and spikes with an 80 headbutt. Fungus puts pads on the floor. Goliath sits net with Brace and Ground Pound even if Dolphin Dive timing is Hard.
Higher skill: Dung, Bombardier, Weevil, Longhorn, Potato, Bee, Atlas, Cyborg. Dung asks for Flutter Dash, Dung Rush, and Nibble refresh. Bombardier asks for Goop Trail charges and SE4-style routes without extra buttons. Weevil magnets can own-goal. Longhorn’s two antenna charges reverse gold you still needed. Potato’s pantry drops on a headbutt. Bee’s Honey Ball is not mergeable. Atlas horns want Recycling. Cyborg’s Zapper is a 35s sniper miss if you panic.
Tiger sits in between. The label is Easy. The rule (do not teleport onto a held ball) is how Easy players donate gold. Earth-boring is Medium: a dirt meter, not a second Goliath.
The full first-pick writeup is Beginner Picks. Read that before you force Potato because a video looked funny.
Ranked 3v3 as a role check
Ranked 3v3 is a coverage test. One attacker steals and finishes gold. One defender holds the mouth. One support peels or launches. Examples that use real kits, not invented team brands:
- Fungus pads plus Dung rush: the pad is the ramp, Dungy Dash is the reset.
- Goliath plus Cyborg laser: Brace in the box, Bug Zapper stuns fast balls in front of it.
- Firefly peel plus Click or Ladybug: Kamikaze drops the ball, the Easy carry leaves.
- Rhino spikes plus Click pinch: long body through a breakable wall.
- Weevil vacuum plus Tiger: create the drop, then Teleport Grab.
- Potato empty dash on uncracked gold: remove a level so red cannot score until they merge again.
Team comps expands those into 3v3 and 2v2 shapes. It does not name fake pro orgs.
How to use the two child pages
Open Beginner Picks if you are still in the lobby asking who is safe. It explains why Click and Ladybug start the attacker lane, why Firefly and Fungus start support, and why Rhino or Goliath-as-goalie starts defense. Open Team Comps if you already have a main and need a partner kit. 2v2 compresses roles into first man and cover. 3v3 should not.
Neither child page replaces Getting Started. If you cannot merge 3+2 into gold, the tier note will not save the match. If you shoot ungilded dung at the net, you are not in a tier problem. You are in a rules problem.
Reading kits instead of letters
When community lists wave S and A around, translate them back into Q. An S-tier take on Ladybug means the 25s Flying Dung meter and the 32.5s Flight meter let a new player leave the floor. An S-tier take on Cyborg means the 35s Zapper wins games if you hit it, not that Cyborg is secretly stronger than Firefly. Goliath Hard plus beginner-goalie is not a contradiction. The job is obvious. The timing is not.
Size still matters. Ladybug 0.65x and headbutt 50 lose contact to Rhino 1.25x / 80 and Goliath 1.5x / 75. Click’s long body is a pinch. Atlas 1.4x and Recycle want space. None of that is a letter. It is a 50/50.
What to do after this hub
Pick one beetle from the beginner list and play it until Q is automatic. Then learn one kit from each other role so ranked 3v3 can fill. Then read team comps for pads, lasers, and peel. Then ignore the letters. Bugfight Studio did not publish this ranking. The Beetles Hub is the roster. This hub is only the advice around it.
If a patch changes a cooldown, update your habits, not your identity. Dungy Dash will still reset momentum. Brace will still face the camera. Honey Ball will still refuse to merge. Those are the facts this list is allowed to use.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Beetleball players.
Is this an official Beetleball tier list?
No. It is community advice. The wiki treats beetles as balanced. Play what you enjoy, then fill ranked 3v3 roles.
Who is beginner-friendly?
Click, Ladybug, Firefly, Rhino, Fungus, and Goliath-as-goalie. Details are on Beginner Picks.
Which beetles take more practice?
Dung, Bombardier, Weevil, Longhorn, Potato, Bee, Atlas, and Cyborg. Their Q kits punish panic more than Click or Firefly.
What should a ranked 3v3 lobby bring?
One attacker, one defender, and one support. See team comps and the Beetles Hub.
Can I score without a golden dungball?
No. Gold is five dung levels. Blue versus red. Q is on-ball if you hold the ball and off-ball if you do not.
