Beetleball Beetles Hub
Every live class, the Q toggle, and how attackers, defenders, and supports share a ranked lobby.
Beetleball is Bugfight Studio’s class-based dung soccer on Steam. Early Access went live on 3 Sep 2026. Every public match is blue versus red, and you only score with a golden dungball built from five dung levels. Multiple balls stay in play at once, so the roster is not a list of mascots. It is a set of tools for merging, carrying, peeling, walling, and sitting net while the other color does the same.
This hub is the map of that roster. Use it to pick a main, then jump into the role pages for kits that the wiki actually documents. Do not treat any beetle as unfinished content. Longhorn, Atlas, Potato, and Bee are in the live pool with everyone else. Atlas and Bee have a dedicated launch classes page if you want the 3 September horn and honey kits without rereading every defender and support paragraph.
How scoring and Q work
Q is one key with two jobs. If you are holding a dungball, Q fires the on-ball ability. If your hands are empty, Q fires the off-ball ability. Cooldowns are separate, meters are separate, and several beetles change identity the moment they grab or drop. That is why a Goliath who never holds the ball is a shield and a ground pound, while a Goliath who dives with gold is a different problem.
Passives sit under that toggle. Nibble, Blink, Skipjack, Excited, Ground Pound, Big Horn, Beetle Helicopter, Recycling, Kiss of Goop, Experienced Masochist, Spore Sniffer, Full Belly, and Double Jump do not replace Q. They change how you time the grab, the headbutt, or the drop. Read every kit as two jobs plus a habit, not as a single super.
Size and headbutt numbers matter on contact. Ladybug is tiny at 0.65x with a weak 50 headbutt and extra knockback. Earth-boring is small at 0.9x. Dung is normal. Rhino is giant at 1.25x with the strongest headbutt at 80. Atlas is 1.4x. Goliath is huge at 1.5x with a 75 headbutt. Click’s long body is a pinch tool. Those numbers are not flavor text. They decide who wins a 50/50 on gold.
How the roster is grouped
Community character-select videos split the live beetles into three queue roles. Attackers are Dung, Ladybug, Tiger, and Click, with Longhorn as the flex carry. Defenders are Goliath, Earth-boring, Rhino, and Weevil, with Atlas as the extra net threat. Supports are Bombardier, Firefly, Cyborg, and Fungus, with Potato as utility and Bee as launch support. Ranked 3v3 wants one of each role in the lobby. 2v2 compresses that into cover plus carry. 1v1 throws the labels out.
The in-game tags (Offense, Speedster, Waller, Disruptor, Trickster, Dung eater, Launch class) describe a kit’s personality. They do not replace the three-lane queue. A Fungus tagged Support/Defense/Speedster can still sit attacker if your pads create the only gold path. A Longhorn tagged Annoying/Reverser/Speedster still belongs on the attacker page because the antenna swing and parasail are carry tools.
The wiki’s own stance is blunt: beetles are balanced, so play what you enjoy. The community tier notes exist to explain first picks and team shapes, not to crown an official S tier.
Attackers at a glance
Attackers exist to steal, merge, and put gold through the net. Dung is the medium Offense/Speedster with Dungy Dash on-ball (20s, resets momentum) and Dash off-ball (10s, adds speed without a reset). Nibble refreshes Dungy Dash on merge. Flutter Dash and Dung Rush are the named movement techs. Ladybug is the Easy tiny Speedster/Offense: Flying Dung on a 25s meter, Flight on a 32.5s meter, and an all-rounder kit that should not sit goalie. Tiger is Easy Offense/Trickster with Dungball Rewind on-ball (teleport with the ball 1.75s into the past, 32.5s, plus a shot buff), Teleport Grab off-ball (to the ball, 25s), and Blink before a headbutt. Do not teleport onto a held ball. Wait for the drop. Click is Easy Offense/Striker with Sonic Ball on-ball (25s, catapult, resets momentum), Sonic Boom off-ball (22.5s), Click Shot if the boom is next to a ball, and Skipjack jump height with the ball. High ping can own-goal. Longhorn is Hard Annoying/Reverser/Speedster with Dung Swinger on-ball (antenna, 12.5s, two charges) and Parasailing off-ball (25s). Excited pops after a steal. The April 2026 demo wishlist unlock at 25k is history, not a gate.
Full kits, matchups, and when to swap sit on Attacker Beetles.
Defenders at a glance
Defenders live near the net, deny gold, and feed a clean ball back to the carry. Goliath is Hard Defense, the dedicated goalie: Dungball Dive on-ball (25s), Brace for Impact shield off-ball (25s), and Ground Pound instead of a glide (stun shockwave). Dolphin Dive and Aggro-liath are the named dive habits. Earth-boring (EBB) is Medium Waller/Trickster at 0.9x: Great Wall of Beetle on a 35s meter, Dung Dive off-ball (burrow then collapse, 35s). The old max-two-in-net rule belongs to Fungus pads, not EBB holes, and EBB cannot dive-place a hole in the enemy goal after the patch. Rhino is Easy Waller/Defense at 1.25x: Big Ball Spike on-ball (through terrain, 25s, keeps control), Earthy Spikes off-ball (breakable wall, 30s), and Big Horn knockback. Beach tunnels love the spike. Weevil (Long-nosed Weevil) is Hard Disruptor/Defense/Support: Sucky Ball magnet on-ball (25s, two charges), Snout Vacuum off-ball (30s), and Beetle Helicopter gusts while fluttering. Atlas is Hard Defense/Disruptor at 1.4x, Launch class: Horn Injection on-ball (ungrabbable spiky ball, 37.5s), Horn Shot off-ball (projectile, 12s, three charges), and Recycling to pick up fallen horns.
Full net habits sit on Defender Beetles.
Supports, utility, and flex
Supports exist to peel, launch, deny, and change the floor under a carry. Bombardier is Hard Disruptor: Goop Trail on-ball (meter, 8s, five charges), Goop Turret bomb off-ball (35s), SE4 tech in the community, and Kiss of Goop (headbutt makes the target slippery). Firefly is Easy Disruptor: Dung Grenade on-ball (22.5s, 3s fuse, re-activate early), Bug Kamikaze off-ball (35s), a burning second explosion, and Experienced Masochist (25% less stun). It is a beginner pick. Cyborg is Medium Disruptor/Defense: Thorax Thruster on-ball (rocket on the ball, 30s, stay attached), Bug Zapper off-ball (35s) as a scoped laser sniper you grab to fire plus an electric dash that stuns fast balls. Fungus is Easy Support/Defense/Speedster and can play every role: Shroom Pogo on-ball (30s), Shroom Pad off-ball (max three pads, three uses each, 13s, three charges, min spacing, max two in goal), and Spore Sniffer after a pad. Potato is the dung eater: Get Stuffed on-ball (eat up to three balls, 20s), Potato Gun off-ball (spit charged if stuffed, else dash chomp that reduces ball size, 10s; dash into uncracked gold removes one level). Full Belly strengthens the headbutt per stuffed ball, headbutt cooldown drops about 0.7s per dung, and a headbutt on you drops one stored dung. Bee is Hard Speedster/Support, Launch class: Honey Spray / Dungy Spray on-ball (5s, buff allies or debuff with dung), Honey Ball off-ball (25s, not mergeable; throw at an ally for a disruption shield plus speed, or consume for the same), and Double Jump with the ball.
Full peel and launch notes sit on Support Beetles.
Ranked 3v3 coverage
If you solo queue ranked 3v3, learn one beetle from each role page so you can fill. A lobby with three attackers leaves the net empty. A lobby with two goalies leaves gold sitting in mid. Beginner picks are Click, Ladybug, Firefly, Rhino, Fungus, and Goliath-as-goalie. Higher-skill mains are Dung, Bombardier, Weevil, Longhorn, Potato, Bee, Atlas, and Cyborg. None of that is an official ranking.
Team comps shows real synergies already on this wiki: Fungus pads into a Dung rush, Goliath plus a Cyborg laser, Firefly peel in front of a carry. Use those pages after you know which Q kit you actually press.
What to open next
New players should finish Getting Started for merge rules and movement, then pick a role page instead of rereading this hub. If you already have a main, skip to the sibling role so you know who is covering you. If that main is Atlas or Bee, start on launch classes (Longhorn is the April demo beetle, not the launch pair). The Tier List Hub is community advice for first hours and ranked shapes, not a patch-note power ranking from Bugfight Studio.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Beetleball players.
Is Beetleball still unreleased?
No. Early Access launched on Steam on 3 Sep 2026. This roster page covers the live classes, not a wishlist.
What does Q do?
Q is on-ball if you are holding a dungball and off-ball if you are not. Every beetle in this hub uses that split.
How do you score?
Only a golden dungball scores, and gold is five dung levels merged together. Blue versus red never changes.
Which role should I queue in ranked 3v3?
Bring one attacker, one defender, and one support. See Attacker Beetles, Defender Beetles, and Support Beetles.
Are some beetles better than others?
Community lists exist on the Tier List Hub, but the wiki treats the roster as balanced. Play the kit you enjoy.
Where are Atlas and Bee documented?
On launch classes. Atlas is Hard Defense/Disruptor. Bee is Hard Speedster/Support. Longhorn arrived in April, not on 3 September.
